Two flown to Cleveland after motorcycle crashBy: Star Beacon - Warren Dillaway ASHTABULA — An Ashtabula couple were flown to Cleveland Friday night for treatment of injuries following a crash near the intersection of Route 20 and Woodman Avenue, said Sgt. Alan Altonen of the Ashtabula Police Department.
The crash occurred around 7:40 p.m. when an 18-year-old female driving westbound on Route 20 turned into the path of a motorcycle heading eastbound at the entry to Family Video, Altonen said. “It’s still under investigation and nobody’s been cited yet,” Altonen said. He said charges are pending and no names would be released at this time. Altonen said the male motorcycle driver and his wife, both in their late 20s, were flown to a Cleveland hospital for treatment. He said they were able to talk with him concerning the circumstances surrounding the crash. Altonen said he was not aware of their conditions Saturday evening. |
